The basement for this study is the knowledge of physiologic angiogenesis in corpus luteum as the most vascularised part of the ovarian tissue. Surprisingly bening and malignant leasions of ovary have similar symtoms due to high vascular permeability. In present study we have examined the role of VEGF D as a potent biomarker for early EOC detection.Methodology Enzyme linked immunoassay kits detecting the level of VEGF D in blood serum specimens form biobank. Statistic analysis: Mann-Whitney test with the significance level set at p<0,05.Total number of samples: 75 (n=100%), benign 39 (52,7%), malignant 35 (47,3%)Results Median score of VEGF D in the group of benign tumours was 319,1ng/l. Median score of the VEGF D in the EOC group was 423,8 ng/l.Conclusion We have obtained promissing data that may lead to identify a novel presymtomatic biomarker in the secondary screening of EOC.Disclosure Nothing to disclose
