Abstract

Recent technologic advances indicate the potential role and applications of human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA testing in the routine screening for cervical neoplasia, diagnostic triage of females with inconclusive cervical cytologic smears, and quality control of cytologic and pathologic practices.
